Overview The Mesh Grip Disc AC-241-1000 is a 6 inch sanding disc made for fine surface refinement and finish sanding. This is a sanding disc designed for fine sanding and surface preparation before final finishing steps. Model Number AC-241-1000. For a very fine abrasive for dialing in the surface without jumping straight to polishing, this is the kind of disc to keep on hand. The key detail here is the P1000 grit. That puts this disc in the fine-finishing range, where the goal is not heavy stock removal but scratch refinement and surface consistency. On the job, that matters when working through a sanding sequence and wanting a predictable next step before paint, clear coat, or other finishing work. A coarse disc can move material fast, but a P1000 disc is about control and finish quality. The disc is built with a ceramic abrasive and a closed coat construction. In practical terms, that means the abrasive surface is laid out densely to maximize contact with the workpiece, which is what is wanted for fine sanding stages where uniformity matters. The ceramic abrasive also makes sense for users who expect steady cutting action instead of a disc that feels spent too early. The series is known for mesh-based abrasive construction, and this product is identified as a mesh grip disc. That design is a big part of why users choose this style over a standard paper-backed sanding disc. Mesh abrasives are popular with pros and serious finish guys because they are built around cleaner sanding and more even performance across the disc face. The 6 inch diameter makes this a practical fit for common sanding setups that use this disc size. That gives enough surface area to cover panels and flat sections efficiently while still keeping good control near edges and contours. For anyone working through fine grit stages, consistency across a familiar 6 inch platform is usually more important than chasing aggressive removal. This product is sold in a pack of 50, which makes it a better fit for users who sand regularly rather than somebody buying a one-off disc for a single project. Shops, refinishers, cabinet guys, and anyone doing repeat finish prep will appreciate having matching discs ready to go instead of piecing together mixed packs. If P1000 is a grit that gets used often, the pack size makes sense. The Mesh Grip Disc AC-241-1000 is best for users who care more about final surface quality than brute removal speed. Where the work involves fine finish sanding, refining a previous scratch pattern, or getting a surface ready for the next finishing step, this disc is aimed right at that part of the process. It is not the disc for hogging material off fast. It is the disc for the stage where the finish starts to show every shortcut. The P1000 grit, ceramic abrasive, and closed coat design make it a strong choice for refining surfaces before final finishing steps. 6 inch disc diameter fits common sanding setups that use this size.
