Description
Key Features Fast Stock Removal: The Q.SILVER abrasive is built for aggressive sanding, so it cuts quickly when leveling filler, removing coatings, or prepping metal and wood before the next step. Works Across Materials: One disc covers a wide range of shop and jobsite materials including steel, stainless steel, hardwood, veneer, plastics, primer, paint, lacquer, body filler, and MDF or HDF. 6-Inch PSA Disc: This sanding disc uses a 6-inch pressure-sensitive adhesive format, making it a practical choice for users who want a secure stick-on abrasive for repeat prep and finishing work. Overview Q.SILVER 6" PSA is a 6-inch adhesive-backed sanding disc for stock removal and surface preparation. This is a sanding disc designed for sanding, stripping, and prep work across metal, wood, plastics, fillers, primers, and painted surfaces. Model Number: 2B-342-150. In this version, the disc uses P150 grit, which puts it in a useful middle ground for smoothing and refining after rougher prep without jumping straight to fine finishing. What matters here is how broad the application range is. The product data lists this abrasive for steel, mild steel, stainless steel, hardwood, veneer, plastics, primer, paint removal, body filler, lacquer, MDF or HDF, and solid surface materials. That makes it a good fit for body shop prep, woodworking cleanup, painted surface work, and general sanding where switching product lines just because the material changed is not wanted. The backing matters too. The product data calls out a flexible, strong latex paper construction, which is important because cheaper paper discs tend to crack, curl, or wear unevenly once heat builds up. A more durable paper backing helps the abrasive stay flatter in use and hold up better when sanding edges, contours, or larger areas for extended periods. Heat resistance is another practical advantage. Sanding generates heat fast, especially on metal, coatings, and fillers. Higher heat endurance helps the disc maintain cut and stay usable longer instead of loading up or wearing out too early. For anyone doing repeated prep work, that translates into fewer disc changes and more consistent material removal. The P150 grit size is a smart working grit for technicians and woodworkers who need a disc that can still remove material but leaves a more controlled scratch pattern than coarse grits. It is a solid choice for refining filler, preparing primer, smoothing wood before the next grit, or knocking down coatings without getting overly aggressive. This abrasive is sold in a 100-piece pack, so it makes sense for users who go through discs regularly rather than someone buying a single-sheet solution. For anyone already running a pressure-sensitive adhesive sanding setup, this is the kind of consumable that earns its keep by covering a lot of materials and keeping the cut consistent. Who should buy it? Auto body techs, painters, woodworkers, cabinet shops, refinishers, and serious DIY users who want a dependable 6-inch sanding disc for prep and intermediate sanding. Where the work moves between filler, primer, steel, hardwood, and painted surfaces, the Q.SILVER 6" PSA makes a lot of sense because it is built for that kind of mixed-material workload. Built for Everyday Surface Prep This abrasive is aimed at users who need one disc line that can handle common prep materials without drama. It is especially useful when sanding work moves from filler to primer to metal or wood in the same day. P150 grit balances material removal with a more controlled finish than coarse prep grits. Flexible latex paper backing is designed for durability and heat resistance during repeated sanding.
